Skill Building for Ceramic Artists and Potters- Making and Wiring Lamps | July 13th & August 9th
When: July 13th and August 9th, 12-4 PM
Where: Ruby Clay Company, 409 E 8th Street, Suite B, Tulsa, OK
Who's Invited: Ceramic artists and makers, Ages 18+
Session One: Students will hand build a small lamp to be fired at Ruby Clay. Instructors will help students with the design of their lamps, so that they are able to wire their lamps when they are finished. If the lamps are not finished by 4 PM, students are welcome to take their lamp home to finish. When lamps have been bisque fired students will be asked to collect their lamps and glaze them. Glaze and bisque firing services will be provided complementary as part of this class.
Session Two: Students will return on August 9th for help wiring their lamps. The whole four hours of the class may not be needed to complete this process, but students who have questions are welcome to stay and speak to the instructor until 4 PM.
Clay, tools, and one lamp kit are included as a part of this class.
