The KMT1027 has everything most potters need in a kiln. The chamber size is tall enough to fire a 23″ tall pot and wide enough to hold a 21″ platter. It comes standard with the smartest controller on the market (it will even calculate your cost of firing) and has a lid lifter to boot! This model is constructed with energy saving 3″ brick.

  • Includes Skutt's Lid Lifter technology.
  • Each version of this kiln is rated for cone 10 except for the Phase 1, 208 volt version which is rated for 6 cone. 
  • Exposed Thermocouple equals faster reaction time and higher accuracy.
  • Balanced Elements- A large amount of the heat you lose in your kiln passes to through the lid and slab of your kiln. To compensate for this, Skutt directs more heat to these areas when they design the elements. 
  • Sectional Design- The sectional assembly on Skutt Kilns makes them easy to move, repair, and replace parts.

Lead Times

Large pieces of equipment like wheels and kilns can take extra time to ship. Below are the manufacturers best estimates on when products will ship after the order is placed.
