Elizabeth Blackadder is a celebrated Scottish artist who was born in 1931. She studied at Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art, where she went on to teach for many years. Blackadder is renowned for her still life paintings, as well as her landscapes and portraits, and her work has been exhibited in galleries around the world. In 2001, she was made a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for her contributions to the arts.
