ARAGON CT81713: Compact, Powerful, and Porcelain-Ready

Built on the Ceramic Top legacy

The PARAGON CT Series—short for Ceramic Top—delivers professional-grade performance with durability and thoughtful engineering built into every model. These round kilns are trusted by ceramic artists, educators, and studios alike for their consistency and longevity. Every CT model includes:

  • 3” thick firebrick throughout for superior insulation

  • Solid state relay (SSR) for quieter, more efficient, and longer-lasting performance

  • AOP (Auxiliary Outlet Plug) and vent-ready design (pre-drilled for kiln vent installation)

  • Dropped, recessed element grooves—no pins required

  • Full-formed galvanized steel base that strengthens and protects the firing chamber

  • Dust-resistant coating on lid, peepholes, and rim to extend component life

Why choose the PARAGON CT81713?

The PARAGON CT81713 is a round, 8-sided kiln with an interior diameter of 17” and a height of 13”, offering 1.75 cubic feet of firing space—compact, yet perfectly suited for porcelain, ceramics, decals, china paint, and gold work. Its size is ideal for teachers, dollmakers, or artists who need a reliable kiln that delivers high-temperature capability in a small footprint.

This kiln uses 6400 watts of power—more watts per cubic foot than typical kilns of its size—ensuring excellent performance even with aging elements or slight voltage drops. The result is faster heat-up time, longer element life, and dependable firings all the way to cone 10.

Durability meets convenience

Designed for years of reliable performance, the CT81713 features a long-life electrical system and a full range of smart, robust details that simplify daily use. A lock-in lid support with positive catch ensures safe access while loading, and the ventilated, louvered switch box keeps internal components cool.

The wide-view tapered peepholes allow easy visibility during firings, while two side hand lifts make repositioning the kiln easier. The reversible brick bottom promotes even wear, and dropped, recessed element grooves eliminate the need for element pins—making element replacement quicker and cleaner.
